1st day in office and Harper appoints a floor-crossing Liberal into Cabinet - this should be completely unacceptable to Canadians and to every Conservative party member - which I am one.

I vote no. Let Emerson do the job he's so good at.

Re chris dollis - whether he is good or not is irrelevant. Paul Martin was a good finance minister - does that mean if he decides to cross over he should be allowed to be the same in this government?The point is the people in Vancouver chose Emerson as a Liberal and they have been disenfranchised, deceived etc. And HArper got in on promises of acountability and improved ethics. That is all that is relevant.
What exactly is David Emerson good at - other than promoting all things that will enhance David Emerson?
Oh yes - and maybe Gordon Campbell and all the "developer dreamboats" of the B.C.
This man has no ethical standards, not honest and very very arrogant..and has basically ruined his future.... he needs to step down and repay the money to the riding as asked..as this money belongs to the people of his riding.... and he has really shown his greed with no respect for his party leader, party members and of the people who voted Liberal..he must go..without any question.. ..Wayne Farrell
